So has a date and a very nice price (400). I wonder if this sort of thing will catch on in the future. This being a prequel also allows you to carry your stats over to the full game.
Recently the Crackdown 2 demo allowed you the opportunity to unlock achievements in the full game. Am liking this new look to demos.

| The map has been revealed. 7 save areas this time. Thats a slight improvement at least! | |

| What the fuck's a "Save area"!? You mean it doesn't auto-save the game? Or have a save option in the pause menu!? I suppose I'll have to collect typewriter ribbons too!!?
Sounds a little bit 90's to me...

| Euagh, the save system of the last one really bugged me. It just sucked all over. You feel like you never wanna leave the damn places. I hope they add an autosave for each boss at least... | |

| Nope, it seems that there are like before rooms you have to go to to save. At least there is more than 1 this time. | |

| The first one did have an appauling save system... you could play for hours, try to get to save it, then get taken down by lunatics with a car mounted gun before getting close to a save point. It was ridiculously frustrating. Admittedly in a real zombie apocalypse there won't be any save points (unless my predictions are correct and massive red metal doors spontaneously appear across the UK along with conveniently placed gun/ammo caches) but the game wasn't a sim, and it did severely reduce my enjoyment of it, to the point where the only time i've survived the full 72 hours was when i never left the roof!! | |

| I think the first one really missed the target personally. I brought an xbox 360 on the promise of this great looking game, got my hands on the demo, didn't buy the game. I'm not too fussed about this sequel, just looks like more of the same. | |

| Dead Rising was a piece of piss - if you know exactly what you were doing and remained 100% focused. It's been a few years but if I recall correctly the way to 'win' was:
Level up enough on a few playthroughs to have all the carrying slots.
Start game Go straight to book store and get the books that extend hobby item lifespans, hardware lifespans and the skateboarding book Get a skateboard Get a Uzi/9mm Go to the Humvee goons, trick them into crashing then kill them all, steal the heavy machine gun *if you have time* go to the gunstore and pwn the shopkeep with the MG, stock up on shotguns Go to fight the clown boss, kill with the remaining MG ammo/shotguns and take his mini chainsaws
Then you *only* do the main story missions involving that woman whatever her name was, the chainsaws are incredibly powerful and thanks to all the books last for something like 1000 zombies each, I think my first one broke during the 4th day right before the final boss. The skateboard is essential for getting around everywhere quickly enough and again, thanks to the books won't break instantly. The books also lets you do jumps and misty flips, all that shit.
Unfortunately the game is still pretty crap, still it had some neat ideas. I did like the idea of the game being just a 3 day experience that could end any number of ways each time you played. Very sandbox.

| The best way to get through Dead Rising was to get the Zombie Genocide Achievement which then gave you the mega man blaster. Kills anything quick as, and if I remember in one hit! | |
